Available Courses

  • Course applications along with other relevent information.
  • An over view of the current Sanilac County Protocols, mandatory quiz and stipulation agreement that must be signed by each individual providing prehospital care in Sanilac County. 
  • ResQpod and ResGard Impedance Threshold devices training and inservice for Sanilac County providers.
  • This course will start September 11, 2012 and end on March 21, 2013. The class will meet on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6-10pm. This class will be held in Sebewaing at the municiple building. Tuition for this course is $650.00. The EMT application has a list of available discounts for this course. Students must register online by August 25, 2012.
  • This EMT-Basic Course provides 204 hours of classroom time, and 32 clinical hours.  The course starts June 7th and goes till August 16. Class will meet on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8am - 4pm. It is designed to provide the minimum certification to treat patients in an EMS setting.  Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be eligible to take the National Registry Exam for licensure in the State of Michigan.

    Prerequisites: 18 years or older, no felony convictions, valid driver's license, negitive TB test, proof of up to date on all childhood vacinations, and complete the application packet in full (available online). 

  • Community CPR & AED Training May 19, 2012. This class will be held at 171 Dawson St Sandusky, MI. CPR/AED starts at 9am, this course is free to Sanilac County residents, all other individuals the cost is $25.00.

  • There will be a First Aid course held May 19, 2012. This class will be held at 171 Dawson St. Sandusky, MI starting at 1pm and the course is free to all Sanilac County residents, all other individuals the cost is $25.00.

  • Apply here if you are intrested in volunteeing th help test MFR - Paramedic students (depending on your license) with practical skills testing (proctor) or field expierence (Preceptor).

  • Course Evaluations for all courses offered by SMS can be completed and submitted here.
  • The course is 10 weeks, 70 hours total. Starts September 11th and will end on November 8th, 2012, Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6-10pm. Class will be held in the Sanilac Medical Services class room in Sandusky. The course is free to all Sanilac County residents, all others the cost is $150.00. Tuition covers books, lab fee and backgound checks. Register online now, class size is limited.
